Messaging your coach

Send async messages between sessions, report a message to an admin, and block or unblock a conversation.

Messages is your async thread with the people you're connected to — your coach if you're an athlete, or a rostered athlete if you're a coach. It's built for coaching between sessions, so replies arrive when the other person next opens the thread — there's no live chat.

Send a message

  1. Open Messages. Your threads appear under "Conversations" — one per person you're connected to, with an unread count when there's something new.
  2. Select a conversation to open it. Opening a thread loads its messages, oldest first, and marks them read.
  3. Type in the "Write a message…" box (up to 4,000 characters) and click "Send". Your message posts to the same thread.
Messaging opens up once you're connected. If you see "No conversations yet," connect first — athletes from Find a coach, coaches by adding athletes to your roster — and a thread appears automatically.

Report a message

If a message from the other person looks off, click "Report" on that message. A prompt lets you add an optional reason, then sends it to an admin for review. The message stays in the thread and shows "Reported ✓" — reporting flags it, it doesn't delete it. You can report the other person's messages, not your own.

Block or unblock a conversation

Click "Block" to stop new messages in a conversation. A block works both ways and stays until whoever set it lifts it. If you blocked it, you'll see "You blocked this conversation." with an "Unblock" button; if the other person blocked it, it shows as blocked by them and you can't send until they unblock.

Keep coaching on Composite Athlete. Messages are screened for safety, and sharing personal contact details or payment handles can be flagged for admin review. A moderator can also remove a message, which then shows "[This message was removed by a moderator.]" to both of you.
